About Jack
I am an experienced classroom teacher, I have been teaching for over 6 years and have taught in the UK and in Vietnam. My passion is Biology but I love all things science. I also enjoy learning about learning, about the way the brain works, so you can rest assured I use techniques that are evidenced and backed by research.
I am focused on helping you achieve your potential, in ways that actually work. We keep it simple, securing really strong understanding of concepts and then make sure that knowledge is not lost using ways that have been tried and tested with hundreds of students over my career.
My teaching methods are successful, I have been asked to deliver training and talks to teachers throughout my career. And results speak for themselves, 100% of my students achieve A*-C at A-level Biology, 87% in GCSE Science, and these are stats from whole classes, imagine what we could do 1-1!

Having taught hundreds of students across a wide range of abilities, I understand the challenges that many learners face. Whether it's building confidence, catching up on missed content, improving exam technique, or aiming for the highest grades, I tailor every lesson to the individual student.
Unlike tutors who only work one-to-one, I spend my professional life teaching full classes and preparing students for external examinations. This means I have a deep understanding of exam specifications, common misconceptions, and the knowledge gaps that often prevent students from reaching their potential.
My lessons focus on three things:
• Building secure understanding of key scientific concepts.
• Developing effective revision and recall strategies.
• Improving exam technique through guided practice and feedback.
