About Helen
I’m a maths teacher with 13 years experience of teaching functional skills and GCSE maths. I am also an examiner (which means that I do marking for the exam boards).
I am skilled at making maths accessible to everyone and helping you to understand the different concepts. Along with this I can give you tips on how to maximise your marks in the exam papers.
New for this year! Group lessons for Year 11's - to help them to get the best possible grade in their exams. Foundation classes for those aiming for a Grade 4 or 5, and Higher classes for those aiming for a Grade 6 or 7.

One to one tutoring means that we will have the time (that you don’t get in class) to help you to understand the topics that you are struggling with.
Each session some time will be devoted to the nine basics of maths - these underpin everything that you do in GCSE and being fluent in them will really pay off with the harder questions.
For group tuition there is a maximum of 4 in a group so there is still plenty of individual attention and support, but the students also benefit from working collaboratively with their peers.
