About José André
Bonjour, and welcome!
I'm a French tutor based in the Mississauga and Toronto area, and helping people learn this beautiful language is something I genuinely love doing.
I came to teaching because I noticed how many learners feel lost or discouraged with French, often because lessons move too fast or skip the "why" behind the rules. My goal is the opposite: to make French feel clear, logical, and reachable, one step at a time. I'm patient, organized, and I adapt to how each person learns best.
Over time, I've built a complete set of my own teaching materials so that every lesson is structured and consistent, never improvised. Whether your goal is school, work, immigration, or simply the joy of speaking French, I'd be glad to help you get there.

I work with learners of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to those preparing for the TCF and TEF Canada exams. Whether you're a student trying to pass French class, an adult learning for work or immigration, or a parent looking for patient help for your child, I build the lessons around your goal.
My approach is structured but never rigid. I follow a clear path through the CEFR levels (A1 to B1 and beyond), so you always know what comes next and why. A typical lesson has four parts: a short review of last time, new vocabulary on a real-life theme, a focused grammar point explained simply in both French and English, then speaking and writing practice so you actually use what you learned.
What sets me apart is the materials. I've built my own full curriculum, with custom slides, audio, and practice exercises, so every lesson is consistent and you have something to keep. We go at your pace, with real conversation from day one.
