About Lamia
My name is Lamia, and I’m a passionate French teacher with a Master’s degree in Linguistics and a deep love for languages. I’ve dedicated my career to helping students connect with the French language in a way that feels meaningful, practical, and enjoyable. I’ve had the pleasure of working with learners from all walks of life; from young beginners to GCSE students aiming for top marks, to adults rediscovering their passion for languages. Over the years, I’ve seen how learning French can open doors to new cultures, careers, and confidence, and I feel privileged to guide my students on that journey. Why do I teach? Teaching French is more than just a job for me, it’s something I genuinely love. I believe that language learning should feel personal and empowering, not intimidating. I teach because I want to make a difference, to help students grow, overcome challenges, and discover that they can become confident French speakers. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student’s face light up when they finally understand something that once felt impossible, or when they proudly express themselves in French for the first time. That’s what drives me every day.
