About Glaucia Rocha
I grew up in Americana, a city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. I went to Law School at UNISAL - the Salesian University of São Paulo, graduating in 2014. In 2017, I seized the opportunity to participate in an interexchange program in the United States, specifically California, a transformative experience that played a crucial role in enhancing my proficiency in English. Furthermore, I achieved a significant milestone by earning my Master's Degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, in Spring 2022.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I've attained an advanced level of proficiency in Spanish, adding another layer to my linguistic repertoire. My journey has granted me a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in mastering a second language. I am well-versed in navigating the distinctions and commonalities between English and Portuguese, as well as English and Spanish.
On top of that, I have been teaching English to Brazilians internationally for almost 5 years.

I have been a Portuguese language student of Glaucia for over 9 months. I have found her to be intellectually engaging, conscientious and encouraging. She customizes our lessons to accommodate my cultural background, age (69) and life experiences. Our lesson sessions are not only very instructive but she makes them fun so the hour races by. If you wish to become proficient in Portuguese you can find no finer teacher than Glaucia Germano. Ela não é apenas minha professora, mas agora, minha grande amiga.
I've taken several classes with Glaucia and she makes it very easy to start learning how to speak Portuguese. On top of doing video calls, she also custom makes worksheets to help you review the content you went over in class. I'm a beginner but between her tutoring and a program like Duolingo, I'm definitely seeing results
