About Kate

I have over 30 years of experience working in international schools around the world, where I have served as a classroom teacher, literacy coordinator, curriculum coordinator and principal. My career has given me the privilege of working with children and families from many cultural backgrounds and developing a deep understanding of how children learn best in supportive, creative and nurturing environments. I hold a Master’s degree in Education from Framingham State University in the United States, a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the United Kingdom, and several postgraduate qualifications in child development and learning. My lifelong passion for education continues to guide my work as I help children grow in confidence, creativity and curiosity through joyful and meaningful learning experiences.

About the lesson

My lessons are fun, creative and joyful, designed to help every child feel confident and inspired to learn English. I offer gentle support for students who need help with reading, writing and speaking, using stories, games and imaginative activities that make learning enjoyable and meaningful. For children who are ready to be challenged, I create opportunities to develop and level up their creative writing, encouraging expressive vocabulary, imagination and clear communication. Each lesson balances structure and play, helping children build confidence, skills and a genuine love for language. I have extensive experience working in international schools with a major focus on the IB PYP and other student-centered curricula, which allows me to connect easily with children from diverse backgrounds and adapt my teaching to their individual learning needs. I believe that when learning feels joyful and connected, progress comes naturally and every child shines in their own way.
