About Rachel
I am a writer and researcher who has helped tutor college and high school students in English and writing. I have completed Bachelors' in English, Environmental Science, and Music Entrepreneurship, as well as a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certificate from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

I am an English major that tutors students and English language learners from middle school to college. Working with each individual student and addressing the specific struggles they are having with the material is fundamental to my instruction style. The first step is understanding the student and how they learn and understand new content. Then we can look at the material and what the student is struggling with or simply needs reinforcement in. Once I have established that, the next step is to work through that material through the lens of the student's learning style, resulting in a better understanding and comfort level in the content. Helping the student understand that there is nothing to be ashamed of in the learning process and establishing an environment where questions are welcome and answered sincerely, helps the student become more able to engage in the overall learning process.
