About Andrea
I am an experienced educator currently working as a preschool teacher while pursuing my master’s degree and teaching certification. I have a strong foundation in early literacy, child development, and creating supportive, engaging learning environments for students.
In addition to my work in early childhood education, I have experience working with and tutoring older children, allowing me to support a wider range of learners across different ages and academic levels. I take a well-rounded, student-centered approach to tutoring that blends play-based learning with structured instruction, including worksheets, crafts, and visual supports. As an early childhood educator currently pursuing my master’s degree and teaching certification, I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt each session to fit their individual learning style and needs.
A typical lesson includes a warm-up to build comfort and engagement, a focused skill such as reading, writing, phonics, or language development, and a mix of activities to reinforce learning. I often incorporate games, hands-on activities, whiteboard visuals, and guided practice to help students fully understand concepts.
