I take a personalized and what I believe to be student-centered approach to tutoring. Focusing on each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style. I use a combination of structured lessons, guided practice, and discussion based learning to ensure students fully understand concepts and can apply them independently. I will always encourage questions, active participation, and critical thinking during lessons, making sure that students not only complete assignments but also build long term skills in writing and their comprehension. A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous work and identifying areas your student wants improvement, followed by introducing new concepts in manageable steps for their future. We practice together through exercises, writing prompts, or discussions, and end the session with a summary of what was learned and clear action steps for the next session. I often provide examples, helpful resources, and strategies for organizing thoughts and developing strong essays. Because of my own academic experiences, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while balancing multiple responsibilities, I have developed techniques that help students stay organized, focused, and motivated. My background in teaching, including years as a swim instructor, has also strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, remain patient, and adapt to different learning styles. These experiences naturally guide the way I connect with students, making lessons both effective and enjoyable.
