About Remi
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 10 years of experience and a BSc in Chemistry with Environmental Science. I specialize in introducing middle school students to the fascinating world of matter and chemical reactions. My goal is to make chemistry approachable, relatable, and exciting from the very first lesson.
I use safe home experiments, engaging demonstrations, and examples from everyday life, such as cooking or cleaning, to make concepts tangible. Lessons are interactive and designed to spark curiosity. Students learn not only the “what” but also the “why” behind chemical reactions.

My teaching approach in Chemistry is focused on building strong conceptual understanding and practical skills. Lessons cover topics essential for AP Chemistry test preparation, including complex problem-solving, theoretical explanations, and experimental analysis. Additional areas such as chemical kinetics, equilibrium, thermodynamics, and laboratory techniques are integrated to strengthen comprehension.
Targeted drills and practice tests are a key part of my methodology. Students learn how to approach challenging questions efficiently and accurately. Each session is tailored to the student’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring steady progress.
Support is provided throughout homework, assignments, and test preparation. Students develop confidence in balancing calculations, interpreting data, and applying theory to practical scenarios. Problem-solving strategies are emphasized, helping students tackle unfamiliar questions with ease.
