About Kate
I studied German and Spanish in University, and started my career as a translator, because I loved languages and different cultures. But I learned that I love the people even more than the languages themselves - so I became a teacher, so that I could help real people to reach their language dreams and connect with English speakers all over the world. I know how difficult it is to learn a language, because I had to learn 4 foreign languages myself (I also speak Irish and Azerbaijani) so I understand my student's challenges, and I create my lessons to best support them. I have taught in schools around the world, and have worked with students from South America, Europe and Asia - everyone is welcome in my class :)

I offer a friendly, encouraging online space for adults (or some teens ages 16+) to learn/improve their English. (general and business English). I teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. In our first lesson, I find out why you want to take English lessons - for fun? for work? for university? for your English-speaking partner? - and I create lessons that will help you meet your goals in a stress-free, supportive environment. I can cover all language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary & grammar), and also use written and video materials to help with learning and track progress. Lessons are usually 60 or 90 minutes. Homework is offered, but not mandatory. I have a degree in Global Languages (I speak 3 foreign languages, so I know what it feels like to be a student!) and also a CELTA. I am currently studying for a DELTA to further my teaching skills. I have worked with students aged 6-100, of all levels, from all continents, both groups and private students.
