About Amy
I have been teaching in education for over six years, four of which have been as a class teacher. I have led and directed maths and phonics interventions both as a teaching assistant and a teacher. As a teaching asssitant, I led a successful interventions for children from Year 1 up to Year 5 in maths and English. Now, as a class teacher, I have used what I have learned as a TA to help direct TAs that work in school.

I give lessons to primary aged children. My lesson structure is usually includes a warm up- where I go through something the child is confident with so that they feel good about the impending lesson, then introduce the topic/something they have previously struggled with, then get them to do it practically/talk it through , then they get on with the task. At the end of the lesson, there is always time for reflection and any questions/misconceptions they may have. I like to think that I make every lesson fun and engaging for my students.
