About Dishita
Hello, I'm Dishita, a Biomedical Science graduate and experienced tutor with over three years of teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I have supported students at GCSE and A-Level, with many improving from C grades to A or A* grades.
I have supported students with a wide range of abilities, from those who need help rebuilding their confidence to those aiming for the highest grades. Many of my students have improved from C grades to A or A* grades through structured teaching, regular practice and personalised support.
My academic background has given me a strong understanding of scientific concepts, analytical thinking and problem-solving. Alongside subject knowledge, I place great importance on clear communication, patience and professionalism. I prepare carefully for every lesson and adapt my teaching to suit each student's individual needs, learning styles and goals.
I understand that students often struggle because they lack confidence or do not know how to apply their knowledge in exams. I therefore focus on both subject understanding and exam technique, helping students interpret questions, structure answers and recognise where marks are awarded.
I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is to help every student become more confident, independent and capable of achieving their full academic potential.

I teach Maths, Biology and Chemistry at GCSE level, as well as Biology and Chemistry at A-Level. My lessons are suitable for students who want to strengthen their foundations, improve their predicted grades, prepare for exams or work towards achieving top grades.
My lessons are personalised to each student's ability, learning style and goals. I begin by identifying any gaps in knowledge before breaking difficult topics into clear, manageable steps. I use worked examples, visual explanations, targeted practice questions and regular knowledge checks to make sure students understand the topic rather than simply memorising information.
Exam technique is a major part of my teaching. I help students understand exactly what questions are asking, identify where marks are awarded and structure answers clearly. We regularly work through past-paper questions, review mistakes and focus on the areas where students are losing marks. I also provide constructive feedback and encourage students to explain their reasoning, which helps develop independent problem-solving skills.
Lessons are usually one hour long, although longer sessions can be arranged when preparing for exams or covering more challenging topics. My classes are supportive, engaging and focused, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions.
