About Cathlyn-Mae
I am a Kumon Mathematics Assistant, a licensed Architect with six years of professional experience, and a current Master’s student at the Auckland Institute of Studies. I teach because I enjoy helping students build strong foundations, gain confidence, and discover that math can be clear and manageable with the right guidance. I teach mathematics using a structured, step‑by‑step approach that builds confidence and mastery. My methodology combines Kumon‑style practice for strong foundational skills with clear explanations, real‑world examples, and guided problem‑solving. I adjust the pace to suit each learner and provide strategies that make maths feel manageable and even enjoyable.
I currently work as a Kumon Mathematics Assistant, supporting students with arithmetic, algebra, and problem‑solving. Professionally, I am an Architect with six years of experience, which strengthens my ability to teach maths through practical, real‑life applications. I am also pursuing my Master’s degree at the Auckland Institute of Studies, which keeps my academic skills sharp and my teaching approach up to date.
