Dear Parent/Student
My name is James and I have worked as a full-time private maths tutor since graduating University in 2004. I started tutoring at clients' homes until I eventually set up my own small classroom where I have been tutoring for many years with great success.
Teaching is a passion of mine and I have taught from year 9 students to mature adults, all with different learning styles and requirements. I have tutored with all the main exam boards AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge IGCSE and have taught both Modular and Linear courses. I offer support to those studying towards their GCSE/IGCSE and A-levels (or equivalent), whether it's help with revision, exam prep or simply boosting confidence. The A-level modules I currently assist with are the Core/Pure (compulsory) units.
If the tuition you need is not geared to any mainstream examination, then any numeracy module or Mathematics related topic would be something I'd like to try and help you with. This could be something associated to a University course, employment or simply a brush-up in your numeracy skills. Whatever your requirements, exam or not, I'm confident I can help!
Maths is an important subject and it must therefore be taught well, with an experienced teacher who has the knowledge and expertise to progress a student the right way, without them losing confidence or interest in the subject. I speak very clear English, so there will never be a problem with you understanding what I am saying over the webcam. Also, I move at your pace, and I will never rush you.
