About John
I am experienced in delivering successful results from beginner to A-level standard or equivalent, and catering for all levels of ability. Since 2009 I have been continuously delivering tuition in English as a Foreign Language, French and Russian to individual students, mostly face to face but also via Skype. As I am trilingual and also speak fluent French and Russian, I would be particularly well placed to support learners of English from a Russian-speaking background. I push my students to express themselves using the target English language at every opportunity, however, being able to express myself in the native tongue of my student learners is also a useful advantage.

I offer variety, fun and balance in all of my tuition. I seek to make all of my classes interactive and engaging, and applying a wide variety of language learning tasks in all of the core skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing. I place strong emphasis on acquiring strong grammatical knowledge, and this is taught regularly, consistently and in readily accessible grammatical topics.

I am happy to travel up to a 5 mile radius to teach my student. If I do travel I would be looking to charge £5-10 per class for travel costs. I aim to be as flexible as possible but do have a 24 hour cancellation policy, ie I would expect to be paid for a class if ever you do need to cancel at less than 24 hours notice please.
