About Matthew
I have been working as a math tutor since graduating college in 2019. I have worked with all kinds of students, from high school students needing support in algebra 2, college students encountering abstract math for the first time, or even graduate students struggling to develop effective study strategies, to computer science professors who want to understand the math behind what they're teaching. I love math, and I really enjoy the opportunity to share that love with others. I look forward to working with you, too!

Hi! I generally allow students to let me know what they're struggling with, whether it's a specific kind of problem or just a foundational concept. I proceed by breaking down what we're approaching into its component concepts, and making sure the student understands each of those, then gradually building it all together until they comprehend the entire thing. I always want to proceed patiently, and ensure that my students have deep understanding of the material we're covering. With time, space, and diligence, every student is capable of understanding challenging material at its full depth.
