About Aymara
Hello! My name is Aymara and I am a medical student at the University of Nottingham. I have tutored science for over 300 hours over the past five years, to 11+, GCSE and A-level students of various capabilities. My priority is to not only teach them the material required to excel in science, but to make them passionate about it, and to push them to try questions that challenge them! I believe what makes me a good tutor is the fact that I have recently completed these exams, and thus, I have expert knowledge on the syllabuses, the best revision techniques, and what the examiners want. Additionally, I go above and beyond as a tutor, I find many different ways to teach a student to ensure that they understand the content and that they don’t leave the lesson with any gaps in their knowledge. I use practice papers, videos, textbooks and note taking as my primary ways of teaching. I really didn’t enjoy science so when it came to my GCSEs I began to fall behind. However, as Aymara got to know me, she would adapt the lessons so that I found them stimulating and fun – soon enough I became passionate about science and eager to learn!
