About Brendan
I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher with over 8 years teaching experience in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
I have a Masters Degree in Teaching (Primary) & Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Management. I am currently teaching Deaf Children Full-Time at a school in North London.
I have also undertaken professional development training for Motor Coordination difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder, have level 1 BSL, and am currently completing a Teacher of The Deaf Course.
I have years of experience coaching junior sports and am a level 4 qualified personal trainer.

I believe all learning should be positioned in a real world context that provides students with knowledge that links directly with their current understandings of the world, and provides them with a cultural capital that they can use as active citizens.
I focus on creating fun, hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity in students. I believe that this approach is best for creating links with existing knowledge and focusing on developing neural pathways, whilst remaining engaging and exciting.
