About
I was introduced to meditation through yoga but didn’t think too much about it. It wasn’t until I started having issues with anxiety that I considered meditation as a daily practice.
At first it felt like a game,seeing how long I could keep my eyes closed and count my breathing. A few months later I started seeing the results in my workouts and when I was stressed. It made me want to deepen my practice with guided meditations and learn more. A few years ago at a previous job I made a joke that my team should meditate. People actually liked the idea and asked if I could guide them through a brief meditation. It was received well and I quickly started offering meditations to groups throughout the company. I became known as the “resident yogi” and received constant feedback from others on how much they appreciated and benefited from the practice. Since then I felt called to offer meditation to others in corporate and non corporate settings for them to experience the same benefits.

Many people find meditation intimidating or too “woo woo”. The truth is, everyone can meditate! It’s a simple practice for complex minds. Just five minutes a day connecting to your breath can calm your nervous system among so many other benefits. We are constantly on the go, focused on social media or answering the next email. Many times we forget to slow down, breath and be present. Meditation is another tool to help you remember to slow down and be present.
