About Imogen
I am an experienced maths tutor as I have been planning and teaching maths lessons for two small classes weekly for over a year. I am certified to work with children and have been CRB checked.
I previously struggled with maths myself but with extra help i progressed to become an A* student with an A* in my maths GCSE.
Having this personal experience has helped me to understand the difficulties students may face as well as the rewarding feeling of being able to help students overcome the problems that maths can bring.

My teaching method varies depending on the students particular needs but I tend to start by breaking down the mathematical methodology into clearer steps and to explain why each part is needed using examples. After I feel that the student has grasped the idea I like to set various practise questions in order to check their understanding and highlight any problems they may have.
