About GINA
I taught mathematics and was a mathematics instructional coach in Connecticut for 26 years. In addition, I tutored mathematics for private families for 15 years. My students ranged in grade levels from grade 5 through college level mathematics. I love teaching algebra- my favorite mathematics subject! I do try to make learning fun, but at the same time get my students to feel confident and comfortable about what they are learning. I currently tutor about 20 students and can provide references from current and past families.

I try to make learning mathematics relevant and fun. Due to my experience as a teacher, I can quickly determine what skill sets a student comes with and what he or she needs. I like to focus on what the student is currently learning in class and design lessons to support the classroom, but I also like to fill in learning gaps when needed.
