As a tutor, the key is to listen carefully to the students’ individual needs, personality and learning style, in order to identify and bring clarity to the areas requiring support. It is essential to build rapport, to encourage and motivate, to develop a safe and supportive space. The key to learning is feeling relaxed, heard and valued. Multisensory sessions injected with humour and fun, assist with focus, cognition, processing and recall. Follow the Australian Curriculum using a variety of teaching methods to create a fun filled,creative learning experience.
In addition to my MEd and PGCE, now attained Mindfulness certification Level 1.
In the past have tutored numerous primary aged students, a few adults and during 2018 both a Year 10 and a Year 12 student. Currently tutoring a yr 3, 7, 8 students.
