About Emma
I am an experienced university educator, Associate Professor and registered healthcare professional with over 15 years’ experience supporting students in higher education and professional training environments.
I work with university and healthcare students who may be struggling with confidence, organisation, reflective writing, academic pressure or feeling overwhelmed by workload and expectations. My approach is calm, supportive and practical, helping students break tasks down into manageable steps and build confidence in their own abilities.
I particularly enjoy supporting students who feel stuck, anxious or unsure where to start, and I aim to create a non-judgemental environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing strategies that work for them.
Having ADHD myself, I understand some of the challenges around focus, organisation and overwhelm, and I take a flexible and understanding approach to support. I believe many students are capable of much more than they realise when they are given the right structure, encouragement and guidance.
I have extensive experience supporting students in healthcare and professional education settings, including reflective writing, placements, professionalism, communication skills and academic development.
