About Ishir
My interest in Excel began with a fascination for data organization, structured analysis, and how spreadsheets simplify complex tasks efficiently. This curiosity encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems followed by a Master’s Degree in Business Analytics. Over the past 8 years, I have guided students through Excel learning using patient teaching and supportive instruction. I enjoy simplifying difficult spreadsheet concepts into manageable lessons that help students improve steadily. Watching students become more confident in handling data continues motivating me as a tutor. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding, consistency, and supportive learning instead of pressure or memorization alone. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable exploring technical skills openly.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with beginners, office professionals, students, and advanced learners preparing for business and academic tasks. These experiences have helped me understand the importance of flexibility and patience when supporting different learning styles. I use practical demonstrations, guided exercises, reporting tasks, and visual explanations to help students progress steadily without feeling overwhelmed. I also encourage learners to ask questions freely and develop independent problem-solving skills naturally. Students often appreciate my calm and encouraging teaching style because it helps them remain motivated during lessons. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel inspired to improve confidently.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring data visualization methods, studying productivity tools, and learning about modern business technology systems. These interests help me bring practical technical insight into my lessons. I believe technology education should strengthen both knowledge and confidence. Over the years, I have seen many students transform from uncertain beginners into confident Excel users. Helping students discover confidence in technical learning remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. I teach subjects such as formulas, functions, charts, formatting, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data analysis using simple explanations and structured exercises. Every lesson is designed to feel interactive, organized, and supportive so students can progress comfortably at their own pace. Beginners receive patient guidance with spreadsheet navigation, basic calculations, and formatting tools. Intermediate learners strengthen reporting skills, function accuracy, and worksheet organization. Advanced students focus on automation, advanced formulas, and data visualization. I encourage students to understand spreadsheet logic instead of memorizing steps without meaning. My goal is to make Excel lessons practical, engaging, and rewarding for every learner.
I focus strongly on helping students understand why spreadsheet functions work instead of copying formulas mechanically without understanding their purpose. Difficult concepts are explained through smaller examples and structured exercises that help learners remain calm and motivated during lessons. Students also learn how formulas, formatting, and data organization connect to improve workflow naturally. Practice activities are adjusted according to the student’s learning pace and technical goals so improvement remains balanced and encouraging. I include reporting tasks, spreadsheet challenges, and practical exercises regularly to make lessons engaging and memorable. My teaching style combines patience, structure, and supportive encouragement throughout every session. I want students to feel confident using Excel naturally.
Excel lessons also strengthen analytical thinking, organization skills, accuracy, and confidence beyond technical learning. Through supportive teaching and regular practice, learners become more comfortable managing information and solving spreadsheet problems confidently. I support students preparing for office work, academic tasks, business reporting, and professional goals through focused instruction and practical activities.
