About Anannya
Hi, I'm Anannya, a business student at ESSEC who genuinely enjoys helping others learn. I've been tutoring for over two years, and it's one of the most rewarding things I do. The moment I teach for is when a student who was completely stuck suddenly gets it, and you can see their confidence grow.
I know how discouraging it feels to sit with a subject that just won't click, whether it's a tricky math problem or an essay you don't know how to start. My job isn't just to hand you the answer, but to help you understand how and why, so you can do it on your own next time. I'm patient and encouraging, and I never make anyone feel silly for not understanding something, because questions and mistakes are part of learning.
Alongside my studies I've interned in finance and worked with real data, so I like showing students how what they learn connects to the real world. But more than any subject, I care about helping you feel capable and confident. If you're willing to put in the effort, I'll meet you there and we'll work through it together.

My approach is practical and student-led. I start by understanding each student's current level and goals, then shape the sessions around what they actually need. A typical class begins with a quick recap, moves into a clear step by step explanation of the new topic, and then plenty of guided practice together. For maths, working through problems slowly until the method clicks matters more than rushing ahead. For English, I focus on comprehension, writing, and confidence through regular practice and feedback.
What makes me different is patience and adaptability. I've tutored for over two years, and I've learned that most students don't need the material repeated louder. They need it explained differently, with the right example, until it genuinely makes sense. I keep sessions encouraging and relaxed so students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, which is where real learning happens.
My classes suit primary, secondary, and university students as well as beginners, mainly in maths and English, with finance, economics, and Excel also available. Whether the goal is stronger grades, understanding a tricky topic, or building confidence, I focus on making learning clear, structured, and useful.
