¡Hola! I'm Alejandra and I'm a professional English-Spanish Translator from Argentina.
I've been a teacher for over 6 years and find joy in helping individuals express themselves in Spanish and witnessing their progress week by week.

If you enjoy music and are curious about Spanish, I'm sure you'll like these lessons!

What to expect from the course:
Lessons are customized for your specific needs, level, and objectives.
Our first lesson serves as an introduction to determine your goals, current level, areas of interest, difficulties, and abilities.

Each lesson is based on a different song or cultural topic, presenting crucial elements for us to work on reading comprehension, written production, speaking, listening, pronunciation, and phonetics.

Although I have my own selection of songs/topics for each student, you're welcome to send your suggestions!

I believe the most important thing is to feel motivated; thus, I will always provide exercises and give you resources, so you can keep on learning.

I will also give you homework to practice on your own if you'd like to.

Some important notes:

For students who choose lesson packs: You must take the lessons within 30 days from the starting date (5 weeks maximum).

If you need to cancel a lesson or reschedule, feel free to do so at least 4 hours before the scheduled class. No-shows or cancellations after that period will have to pay the full fee.

Please make sure you send the tuition fee at least two days before starting a new lesson pack.

When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
From early on I was very interested in learning foreign languages, as well as reading and writing. When I finished high school I decided to study English Translation at University. Being a translator implies devoting a lot of time and attention to your own native language; this gave me a powerful insight into my own mother tongue and inspired me to teach it to others as well.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
I believe each language is a way of seeing the World; it's so much more than just a means of communication. I believe this is fascinating because when we learn a new language we also acquire a new perception of reality. I like to think of languages as keys to different cultures and cosmovisions.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
I like to help other people. I see myself as a facilitator, someone who is there to guide and support the students in their learning process. It is very satisfying to see my students making progress and expressing themselves. I think what makes me a Superprof is that a provide a safe place for students, where they are encouraged to be themselves, practise without fear of making mistakes, and learn through different tools adapted to their own interests.
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
I would say my role model is my high school English teacher. She quickly realized I had good language skills and encouraged me to take international exams, helped me to prepare for them, and introduced me to translation as a potential career path for me.
The fact that she was able to observe this, follow up, and support me was very significant to my life.
What are your keys to success?
Patience, creativity, and keeping it fun and easy.
