About Thom
I teach ESL in NYC, but I'm a writer of short fiction and plays, so I have a good ear for the "music of English".
I love to help people from all over the world to improve their English.
I use stories, music lyrics, quizzes and videos as lessons, but I concentrate on conversation.
I keep lessons engaging, and even fun.

I'm personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I currently teach ESL in NYC My students are adults from many different countries, many of whom have advanced degrees in various fields.
I use conversation, with corrections as we go, as a basis for our lessons, but I use quizzes, stories, and music lyrics to frame the conversations.
I'm told my classes are lively and that I make learning English fun.
