About Athina
I’m an ESL teacher with 8 years of experience, and I have attained 3 Teacher of the Year awards. I hold a degree in Journalism and English, and a TEFL certificate, which shapes my focus on clear, natural communication and real-life language.
I’ve taught students of all ages (4 -60 years old), both in person and online, and I aim to create relaxed, engaging lessons that build confidence through conversation.
Alongside teaching, I also work as a travel and SEO writer, reflecting my love for culture, people, and meaningful conversations.

A typical lesson includes a warm-up, a focused activity based on the student’s goals, and plenty of speaking practice with gentle correction. For kids, I use fun, interactive games, while for adults, I bring in pop culture, conversation topics, and Business or IELTS-focused material.
My lessons are suitable for children, teens, and adults, especially those who want to improve their speaking skills in a comfortable and supportive environment.
My teaching style for adults is relaxed and engaging, with lessons that feel like natural conversations rather than formal classes.
I focus on helping students build confidence through real-life communication, using topics that genuinely interest them.
