About Julia
I have a B.A. in biology, an M.A. in geography, and am currently a Ph.D. student in environmental science. I have previously worked as a biology laboratory instructor and as a teaching fellow for several computationally-based environmental science courses. I have won awards for undergraduate teaching, but regularly volunteer as a science educator for elementary students, so am comfortable teaching to many ages.

I like to teach by communicating my enthusiasm for my subject and by working to connect individual areas of learning into a more robust understanding of scientific methods and facts. My goal is to help students find similar enthusiasm for learning by finding what interests them about a given subject.
