About Christopeher
Chris Mendez (CFA, MBA, ACCA) is the co-founder and managing partner of OrbitJobs and SmartFinders. Prior to launching his latest company Smart Finders, Chris was a Senior Vice President for Citco Fund Services (Canada) Inc., which offers full Hedge Fund Accounting and Private Equity administrative services. Chris has over 25 years of executive management experience with a solid background in accounting, finance and information technology. With his experience and depth of knowledge, Chris brings a unique quality to the tutorial space as he is fully attuned to students' needs and he has the ability to help you achieve top grades. Chris earned his MBA in Finance and Accounting at Pace University New York, NY., he is a qualified accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants- (ACCA) London UK and he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) member since 2001.

Like any other subject the best way to learn is to start with the framework and the fundamentals. My approach is to work from the bottom up and build your knowledge step by step. Students will get to practice from previous test papers and look at real-life examples once they learn the basic subject area. Accounting is a practical subject and my approach is that the more you practice the better your skills will be. I have applied this approach with the students I taught while I was in university and the success level was off the chart. My lessons are more geared for students who are struggling with the basic principles in accounting and they are at the entry or intermediate level.
