About Karim
My name is Karim Obaydi. I am a Year 11 student at Merchant Taylors’ School, where I have recently completed my GCSEs. I am a strong academic performer with experience in educational settings both inside and outside of school.
I have supported teaching in a primary school, helping underperforming students reach their full potential, including achieving Greater Depth outcomes. In addition, I have worked as a GCSE tutor at a weekend school, supporting students in preparing effectively for their examinations.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and build students’ confidence in their abilities.
Outside of academics, I enjoy playing football and going to the gym. However, I am highly committed to tutoring and take pride in helping students improve and succeed.

-Before each lesson, I will communicate with the student to agree on the topic(s), allowing me to prepare tailored worksheets and supporting materials in advance.
-Each lesson will begin with a short presentation to introduce and explain the core concepts of the topic.
-This will be followed by a structured question-and-answer session to reinforce understanding and address any areas of difficulty.
-Students will then complete a worksheet designed to test their understanding and highlight any gaps in knowledge.
-These gaps will be clearly identified, recorded, and addressed to ensure full understanding before moving on.
-In subsequent lessons, previously identified gaps will be revisited and reassessed to ensure progress and retention.
-Students are welcome to contact me between lessons with any questions or clarification needs.
