About Arjan
I am a third year master’s student with a great passion for mathematics and thoroughly enjoy teaching it to others. I am currently studying mathematics and have been tutoring both privately and in groups since my AS examinations. I have taught in several capacities from, a dedicated tuition company to private one on one sessions.

My teaching methodology varies according to the level of student. For a GSCE pupil I will typically follow their syllabus. Whereas with A2 and university level students I employ a more hands off approach where I answer their questions regarding specific queries of the module.
In both cases I attempt to find where any misunderstanding lies and remedy the situation from there. This approach has been very successful for me, I recall a time where a student was having trouble with arithmetic series in C1. I found their intuition on the subject was very good however it was a slight misinterpretation of notation that was leading to their errors. In this case I simply asked them to write out an additional step when working through a problem and consequently, saw great improvements.
