About Jillian
It has been a hard couple of years for everyone, especially students and parents. There has been a lot of change, time in quarantine, and little classroom time. However, I am dedicated to helping your student regain their confidence in their skills, help them achieve their goals, and continue to support their growth both academically and social-emotionally.
One thing I especially love about teaching is the relationships I build with my students and their families. I am lucky to still have great relationships with many of my students' families years after teaching them.
When tutoring and teaching, I work with families to create a plan for their student and create engaging activities and mini-lessons to help support their student's stuccess.

My teaching practice revolves heavily around hands-on and engaging lessons for my students. I believe in catering my lessons and activities to each student's individual needs so I can meet their goals created by the parents in support of the school curriculum.
The typical length of a lesson is 50 minutes. This gives enough time to effectively teach my students while also leaving time at the end to check in with parents if needed.
I have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, as well as my teaching license from the state of Massachusetts. I am also TEFL Certified in teaching English as a foreign language.
I have head classroom teacher experience in the preschool and primary age levels as well as tutoring experience at the primary age levels.
My lessons are for primary-aged students, typically 3 - 8 years old.
