I have been an academic tutor for the past 5 years now, offering private classes in 11+, comprehension, and English Lit and Lang - the age group being 9-15 years old. I make it a priority to ensure my students are in an environment tailored to their needs and preferences so that they are as confident as possible. This encourages them to enjoy what's being taught so they see improvement by the day! My lessons usually last an hour, starting with a recap of what we had learnt the session prior, going through questions together, then quizzing the student with a paper to see where they are. From there, I pick areas that need to be improved and target those specifically.
