About Parastoo

Hi! I’m Parastoo. I’m excited about helping students learn English in a way that’s engaging, enjoyable, and tailored to their unique needs. I’m multilingual (English, French, Farsi) and hold a B.Sc. in Psychology and Computer Science, plus a 120-hour TEFL certificate specialized in Young Learners and Business English. I’ve taught English in Peru and volunteered with children in Canada, experiences that shaped my warm, patient, and flexible teaching style. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where you feel confident, motivated, and comfortable expressing yourself, no matter your level. My teaching approach blends structured lesson planning with natural, interactive communication. Because of my background in psychology, I pay close attention to how each student learns best and adapt my methods accordingly.

About the lesson

What sets my lessons apart is the level of personalization. After our first class together, I design a customized learning plan built around your goals, interests, level, and even your personality. No two students receive the same lessons because I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. My experience learning English as a second language in childhood, and French as a third language later on, helps me understand the challenges you may face and how to overcome them with strategies that actually work. I work with learners of all ages. With children and teens, I focus on fun, interactive activities that build confidence and spark curiosity. With adults, I can help with conversational English, everyday communication, or more professional skills like writing emails, preparing for interviews, improving workplace communication, and learning vocabulary for specific industries. I also support students who want to strengthen their academic English, including reading comprehension, structured writing, and study strategies.
