About Noor
Hello! My name is Noor, and I hold an MA in Comparative & World Literature and a BA in English. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in reading, writing, and expressing their ideas clearly.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I take a patient, supportive, and personalized approach to tutoring. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them feel more comfortable engaging with literature, improving comprehension, and developing stronger writing habits over time.
With experience studying and analyzing literature at an advanced level, I guide students through classic texts, essay writing, and reading challenges in a way that feels approachable and encouraging. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and proud of their progress.

I hold an MA in Comparative & World Literature and a BA in English, and I offer individualized English tutoring for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students. My lessons are especially suited for students studying literature, preparing essays, strengthening reading comprehension, or building confidence in academic writing.
My lessons are relaxed but focused. We break readings down together, talk through difficult ideas, improve annotation and analysis, and turn rough thoughts into stronger essays and clearer arguments. A typical session might include going over assigned readings, practicing close reading, brainstorming essays, revising drafts, and learning practical techniques you can use on your own.
What sets me apart is my graduate training in comparative literature and my emphasis on depth, intellectual curiosity, and transferable critical thinking skills. My goal is not simply stronger grades, but helping students become more confident, thoughtful readers and writers.
