About Elena
I have a genuine love for English and literature. With a background in copywriting and communications, I’m able to offer practical, real-world insights into how English skills translate into the workplace. In 2024, I began studying a Master of Creative Writing and English Literature part-time at the University of Sydney. I’m now halfway through the degree, having received Distinction marks in every subject so far. My teaching experience spans both Sydney and Guadalajara, Mexico, where I worked with an organization supporting unhoused mothers and their children. There, I taught basic English and math to program participants and developed learning materials designed for ongoing use by future cohorts.

I speak with parents and their children about their learning styles and the challenges they face in the classroom, using these insights to structure lessons that meet their unique needs.
Each lesson provides one hour of support, helping students develop essay plans, engage in close readings, hone critical thinking skills, unpack syllabus materials, and build creative writing abilities, among other key skills needed to succeed in English.
I have tutored both adults and children in English language and literature for over a year, and I’m eager to take on new students aged 11–18 who are seeking support with the subject at school.
