About Rachel
I’m a multilingual English tutor with a passion for languages and Latin American culture, and I love working with Spanish and Portuguese-speaking learners.
I’ve studied Spanish for over a decade and understand the grammar, structure, and common challenges Spanish speakers face when learning English. I also started learning Brazilian Portuguese a year ago and have reached an intermediate level, so I know first-hand what it’s like to learn a new language and build confidence step by step.
I’ve taught online English classes to Brazilian nationals, creating engaging lessons focused on grammar, vocabulary, and real-world communication. I’m happy to explain concepts bilingually (English–Spanish or English–Portuguese).
I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world and am enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping students reach their linguistic goals in a relaxed, supportive environment.

In my approach to GCSE Spanish tutoring, I leverage a decade of personal language learning and a solid foundation from studying Spanish at Cambridge. While I may not boast formal tutoring credentials, my aim is to include an enjoyable element into the learning process. From interactive exercises to real-world applications, my lessons emphasise engagement and practicality. Each 60-minute session is an opportunity for dynamic exploration and practice. Tailored for passionate GCSE-level students, my tutoring style aims to make the Spanish learning journey both enriching and enjoyable.
