About Cat
I taught English for 17 years to students ages 12-21. My students became better readers and writers because I worked with them individually by modeling my own processes as well as conferencing with them to help them to develop better reading habits as well as pieces of writing.

My teaching methodology is to learn who my students are and how they best learn. By doing this, I am able to start where they are and then help them to progress. My lessons are tailored to fit their needs rather than teaching them in a uniform fashion. I graduated with my master's degree from the Ohio Writing Project at MIami University, and the program was designed to conduct independent reading and writing so that all students could learn according to their needs.

Cat was an amazing High School teacher. She really cared about all of her students and put the time in to get to know each of them.
Cat is a wonderful person. To this day, she is still one of my favorite teachers! I am thankful for the years I had her in high school, as she opened my eyes to the possibilities there were in my future. She was kind, a friend to everyone, and always made us laugh. I will also give her credit for my grammar always being correct. She definitely doesn’t let that slide!
