About Kendall
Most students who say they "hate reading" actually don't. They just haven't found the right book yet.
I'm Kendall, a licensed Colorado English teacher, and I've spent 7+ years helping teens find that book. I earned my English degree from Colorado State University and taught in a large, diverse public high school. Then I helped launch a first-of-its-kind school for teens in mental health treatment. I also hold a master's in Organizational Leadership and certifications in online learning design and project management, so my lessons are organized, purposeful, and designed for online learning.
Outside the classroom, I've volunteer-taught in Zambia, taken senior photos, and created and published a student literary magazine.
I believe every student learns differently, and we can figure it out together.

I'm a licensed Colorado English teacher with 7+ years of experience, including three years at a school for teens actively in mental health treatment.
My lessons are calm, low-pressure, and relevant to students, while still meeting grade-level standards. I break big tasks into small steps, model each skill, then guide students as they practice.
A typical session includes a quick check-in, a focused mini-lesson, practice together, independent work with live feedback, and a goal for next time.
I work with middle and high school students on:

- etc.

- literary analysis

I have a particular skill and passion for working with students with IEPs or 504s, multilingual learners, and anxious or struggling students rebuilding their confidence.
