About Jake
Hello, my name is Jake. I am a native English speaker, born in England to Irish/English parents. I have been tutoring English for many years while I have been traveling the world. I have lived in Spain, China, Vietnam, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and England, and I have traveled to many more places than that! I love international culture, and I love teaching English. I am also a published content creator. I write and edit books for authors. I am currently writing my own book. I have been reading and writing short stories, poetry and music lyrics since I was 5 years old. Pretty much everything I do involves language and communication in some way or another. I am an expert in the English language. I have 10 years of experience teaching all ages and backgrounds, from teaching disenfranchised youth in Vietnam with a charity organization, to college students looking to write better papers, to business professionals looking to communicate more convincingly. I studied two subjects at university, marketing and natural sciences, and so for my career, I have been a part-time content writer, writing articles mostly in the healthcare industry. And, I have also consistently tutored English for the last 10 years.
