About Bethstyline
For me, reading and writing are not just mundane tasks that we were all forced to push through in our early years of education. Both skills are not only foundational building blocks for knowledge acquisition, they also offer opportunities for professional and personal growth. The opportunities are endless when one puts pen to paper. The worlds writers create are often informed by present day realities, yet provide potential solutions that defy present day limitations. Skilled readers make the best writers as they a privy to these worlds, worlds and possibilities that exist contemporaneously and outside of their own.
My goal as your writing mentor, is to use my expertise as well as my own experience to sharpen your reading skills, your mind, and your pen. I look forward to witnessing your growth and being a part of your journey towards what will hopefully be a life-long love affair with the written word.

My lesson plans are innovative and individualized. I meet students at their skill level and push them to be better than they could have ever imagined! I believe that storytelling informs all writing. Engaging diverse authors, we will practice not only reading sensitively and incisively but also making evidence-based arguments with power and grace, learning the habits of writing, revision, and documentation that allow us to join public or scholarly conversation.
