Hello! I'm Harvey. Originally, I am from Cornwall, in the south of the UK, but have lived in both London and Barcelona alike. My journey into teaching was fueled by a deep passion for helping individuals unlock the beauty of the English language. Having worked in various Barcelona academies, I witnessed a common struggle among learners—despite increasing knowledge, they lacked the ability to effectively communicate.
This compelled me to become a teacher, leveraging my native UK background to instill impeccable pronunciation and elocution in my students. Having worked at many academies in Barcelona, I have seen that, despite people having an ever increasing knowledge of the English language, almost all of them are lacking in communication skills and the ability to make themselves understood; wherer it be due to their accent, range of vocabulary or lack of knowledge in certain topics. That is where I come in. I, as a well-spoken native of the UK, can change that entirely. I have fine-tuned my method of improving speaking skills and have a proven track record of changing people’s outcomes in the English speaking world.
English is essential for anyone looking to improve their lives. The majority of information on the Internet is in English, as well as international job opportunities. Not to mention, it is the global ‘lingua franca’.
My classes are lively and enjoyable and utilise a range of abilities and tricks that I have picked up on my journey as a teacher.
My classes can, depending on your need, focus on these topic areas:
-Pronunciation and Elocution
-Grammar
-General speaking practice
-Vocabulary building for specific subject areas (e.g. current affairs, animals, anything you find useful)
-Preparation for English tests

Habiendo trabajado en muchas academias en Barcelona, he observado que, a pesar de que las personas tienen un conocimiento cada vez mayor del idioma inglés, casi todos carecen de habilidades de comunicación y la capacidad de hacerse entender; ya sea debido a su acento, su vocabulario limitado o su falta de conocimiento en ciertos temas. Ahí es donde entro yo. Como nativo del Reino Unido con una buena dicción, puedo cambiar eso por completo. He perfeccionado mi método para mejorar las habilidades de conversación y tengo un historial comprobado de cambiar los resultados de las personas en el mundo de habla inglesa.
Mis clases están dirigidas a adultos mayores de 18 años, de cualquier nivel. Según tu nivel y habilidades, adaptaré mi clase a lo que creo que te permitirá avanzar mejor.
La primera clase será una entrevista de veinte minutos, en inglés, que evaluará una variedad de habilidades y gramática. Luego, puedo darte sugerencias sobre cómo abordar estos problemas. Finalmente, trabajaremos juntos para crear una ruta de aprendizaje y partir de allí.
Una vez finalizado, puedes esperar que cada clase dure alrededor de una hora.
Mis clases son animadas y divertidas, y utilizan una variedad de habilidades y trucos que he adquirido en mis años como profesor.
