About Duduzile
Hi. My name is Dudu and I'm 33 years of age. I'm a grade R - 3 teacher according to my qualifications but I'm able to assist learners all they way up to grade 9. I'm very passionate about children and about teaching. I like to build up the confidence of learners who seem to face difficulty in certain subjects. But with Afrikaans I tutor up to grades 6.

I specialize mostly in teaching phonics. Phonics are sounds that help learners how to read, write and sound or pronounce words. In math I specialize in 2 and 3digit multiplication, long division, addition and subtraction, factors and multiples, fractions and decimals, times table and learning how to count. I help learners to have confidence in a subject which they face difficulty in.
My methods of teaching differ according to the requirements of the students and the subjects they face difficulty in.
1. I introduce the topic at hand if ever the tutee is not familiar with it. If they are, I ask questions or set up quizzes to see how far they understand.
2. I use drawings or diagrams as students learn by seeing.
3. I use Positive Reinforcement which is to notice the success of the tutee.
4. I also use Tutee Summaries. In this case I wrap up by asking my tutee what they learned in our lessons.
5. I also prepare mini tests and exam. What makes me unique is that sometimes I use the technique where by I draw up or set up two mini tests or exams for both me and my tutee. Then exchange the mini tests or exam paper with a memo at hand to see who has achieved the best marks. It makes our lessons more fun, but I also observe how confident and how comfortable the tutee is with me and how much they know me and visa versa.
