About Natalie
I am from Victoria B.C., where I attended university (at the University of Victoria) and received an Honours degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. I am passionate about creative expression, and have always been inspired by the natural and beautiful environment of the west coast.
Most of my life has revolved around literary pursuits since I have been an engaged reader and writer from a young age. I love to read children's literature and Victorian novels most of all, but I also enjoy reading academic articles about how books and the humanities shape our culture and lives.
I am currently in grad school pursuing a master's degree in Library and Archive Science at the University of Toronto. I am very interested in public engagement and education in libraries and archives. I also love to speak with people about their creative passions and interests, and seeing their ideas come into fruition.
My educational background has taught me the technical, mechanical skills of writing and researching, as well as the conversation and collaborative aspects of editing through careful examination and suggestion.

My approach involves collaboration and suggestions for improvement (to writing quality including style and grammar). Your vision and voice remains at the forefront of our endeavours. My goal is to help you express yourself through writing in a manner that is both clear and succinct (in other words, easy and fun for your audience to read!).
We will carefully construct your essay or creative piece by identifying key components/ideas, and establishing a work schedule. Further, I will support your process by suggesting resources (journals, databases, libraries, etc) for exceptional academic and open-source research. We will meet to discuss your writing, including areas for improvement such as tone, grammar, and structure, and I will be available to answer your queries about the writing process overall.
Again, my ultimate goal is to help your creative or academic writing vision shine.
