About Sara
I graduated back in August 2015 from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) with a Bachelor of Arts in English. I have also obtained my TESOL/TESL/TEFL certification through Oxford Seminars. My goal is to help students of all ages to learn English and be able to adapt to and comfortably use the language in their daily lives wherever they go.
My teaching experience in Lebanon gave me the opportunity to work and communicate with Kindergarten students. I was also able to encourage the students I taught to speak English and advance their reading and writing capabilities. Also, I trained as an English teacher in an a school abroad. Training with students from Grade three to Grade six gave me the opportunity to advance myself more, teach higher levels of English, and learn different teaching strategies.
Moreover, I taught speaking classes. My main purpose was to train the Grades one to six students to speak and present their ideas in English only. At the same time, I taught English to the Grades four, five, and six French classes. This was a very beneficial experience as it gave me the chance to work with students who have no background knowledge in English.
Furthermore, I worked with students in the class who had behavior disorders and needed special attention. This was a very significant opportunity for me to enhance my skills as an educator because I proved to myself and to others that I can deal with all types of students, regardless of their background, behavior, and capabilities.

A successful teacher can adapt to different situations and take advantage of the time given, regardless of the classroom's age, level, and size. I will use my observing and evaluating skills in finding out the best learning strategies for the students. By observing how well they work individually and in groups, I can choose what methods work best to keep them engaged and focused. At the same time, using my teacher roles as a controller, prompter, assessor, resource, and tutor ensures that all students benefit from the learning experience and feel comfortable approaching me at any time. The lessons will be for students in Kindergarten to Grade six. I can teach them English, both speaking and writing.
