About Kimberly
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English, with a minor in creative writing from California State University, Fullerton. I graduated with honors; Cum Laude. I also have experience tutoring children, teens, and adults. Aside from my credentials, my poetry has also been published through my University's "Plastic People" zine magazine in April 2025.

As someone who used to struggle with reading, finding the motivation to read a book, or write can be difficult. However, I believe that there is a book for everyone at every level, and stage in life. As an instructor, I hope to inspire my students to read and write from the heart. All literature is relevant to life. I enjoy cultivating minds to express themselves through creative writing, whether that is through fiction, short stories, narratives, or poetry-- there is a genre for everyone. My lesson plans are created with ESL students in mind. I am able to help, and support students with understanding grammar, sentence structures, and parts of speech. My expertise goes far beyond creative writing, and modernist literature. I am also familiar with Medieval literature (Chaucer), women's literature (Jane Austen, Emily Brontë), gothic literature, classic literature, 19th-century literature, children's and young adult literature, and contemporary fiction. I believe that I am well-rounded when it comes to literature.
