About Ria
I hold a 2:1 degree in English Literature and Linguistics and achieved an A in A-Level English Literature. With two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant and previous tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students of all abilities in reaching their full potential. I’m passionate about making English Literature engaging and accessible for all, helping students not only prepare for exams but also develop a genuine appreciation for the subject. My approach is patient, encouraging, and adaptable, ensuring each student feels confident, supported, and motivated to succeed.

My lessons are structured, goal-oriented, and academically challenging. No two lessons are the same, as each is uniquely tailored to meet the individual needs and learning style of the student. I always incorporate past papers, examiner-style questions, model answers, and exemplar essays to develop critical analysis and faultless essay-writing proficiency. Each session typically involves close textual study, exploration of literary contexts and interpretations, and the application of effective exam strategies. Students will receive detailed, individualised feedback on written work and may contact me via email between sessions for further support with assignments or revision. My approach cultivates independent thinking, precision in analysis, and confidence in expressing complex literary ideas—essential skills for success in GCSE and A-Level English Literature.
