About Aaron
I am an English Literature graduate with a strong background in literary analysis and critical writing, and a clear understanding of GCSE and A Level exam requirements. I have experience working in a classroom environment, which has given me valuable insight into how students learn, where they commonly struggle, and how to adapt explanations to suit different learning styles.
I am a patient and supportive tutor who understands that English Literature can feel intimidating or overwhelming for many students. My approach is calm, structured, and encouraging, helping students feel more confident in their abilities while steadily improving their skills. I focus on clear explanations, manageable steps, and practical strategies that students can apply immediately in their written work.
I place a strong emphasis on measurable improvement, particularly in essay structure, clarity of argument, and textual analysis. I aim to help students understand not only what to write, but why examiners reward certain approaches, so they can approach exams and assessments with greater confidence and independence.
Alongside my academic background, I am also a writer with a published poetry collection. This experience strengthens my understanding of language, imagery, and expression, and helps me support students in developing more confident and thoughtful written responses.
Above all, I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their ideas, and making progress at their own pace.

My tutoring is based on each individual student’s needs and learning style. I believe that every student learns differently, and I take the time to understand how each student works best. This allows me to plan and adapt lessons in a way that suits them, builds confidence, and supports steady progress.
Lessons are structured but flexible, with a focus on helping students understand the material clearly and apply their skills effectively. By tailoring lessons to the individual, I aim to give students the best possible chance of success.
I provide academic guidance and support to help students improve their English Literature skills and confidence. Progress depends on the student’s engagement and independent work.

Details
My hourly fee covers fully prepared, one-to-one online lessons via Microsoft Teams tailored to each student’s individual needs. All teaching materials are included, and lessons are delivered online, allowing for flexible scheduling and a comfortable learning environment. There are no additional costs beyond the hourly rate. I am contactable via email outside our private lessons on weekdays.
I am available Monday to Friday for evening lessons, and weekend slots can be arranged if needed. Please feel free to message me to discuss your preferred times, and I will do my best to accommodate your schedule.
Payment Policy
Payment is required in advance for all lessons to secure your preferred timeslot. Lessons can be paid per session or in a block of multiple sessions, whichever is most convenient. Payment can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or another mutually agreed method. This ensures that lessons are confirmed and allows me to plan sessions effectively.
If you need to reschedule a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less notice may still be charged, depending on the circumstances. By arranging lessons, you agree to this policy. I aim to make the process as simple and flexible as possible while maintaining a professional and reliable service.
